Forbes: “D-Flawless Diamond Auctioned Without Reserve”

As published by Forbes, a 102.39-carat flawless diamond, which was cut and polished for over a year from 271-carat rough by Diacore, led by Nir Livnat. The piece was auctioned by Sotheby’s in a unique online auction. This was also the first time that a diamond of such great value was offered without reserve, and it still fetched more than was expected.

Sotheby’s auction house told Forbes: “This approach marks the first time in auction history that a diamond of this caliber – or indeed any work of art or object of this importance and inherent value – has been offered this way”.
